Everything I create comes from a place of love, care, and passion. I hand-collect authentic, beach-found seaglass, carefully selecting each piece for its colour, texture, and natural beauty. Every piece of seaglass tells a story shaped by the ocean over decades, making each creation truly one-of-a-kind.
Sea Glass
All sea glass used in Oceanella jewellery is genuine and beach-found by myself over the last 40 years, naturally weathered by the waves over time. Many pieces display a soft, frosted surface—a natural effect created by the ocean, not a manufactured coating. Some fragments have a smoother, “silky” finish, reflecting different weathering conditions and it is possible also to attempt to date some of the finds (because of how they look and feel and where they were found).
On certain pieces, I have etched or polished the glass myself using electric tools or natural oils to enhance the beauty and tactile quality. Wherever this has been done, it is clearly detailed under each piece and also noted on the Certificate of Authenticity provided with your purchase. Because each fragment is shaped by the sea and, occasionally, by careful artisan work, every piece is unique in shape, size, and texture.
Mindfull Materials
I am mindful of the materials I use. Every component—whether seaglass, recycled bullion, or findings—is responsibly sourced and treated with respect, so that each piece reflects care not just for the jewellery itself, but for people and the planet.
Each item is artisan-crafted with meticulous attention to detail. I am thorough and I get hyperfocused because I am so passionate about this. I focus on smooth, frosted fragments with no rough edges, and pair them with durable settings and high-quality chains. By combining the natural beauty of the sea glass with careful craftsmanship, every piece becomes unique wearable art, a good talking piece of history, a token of love honoring Planet Earth and our shared humanity.
